Serious computer prob

Just started today, when I log onto Internet explorer. Any link, from any site I click, re directs me to another meaningless search engine website. The same one every time. Example

I log on here, and click on a thread. Instead, I am redirected to the website said above. This happens no matter what website I'm on, no matter what link I click. Frustrating. I've already ran a virus scan that came up negative. System restatt didn't work either. Anyone know what the deal is?

Easy fix, stop using inet explorer....lol

download google chrome..leaps and bounds better than any other browser

You might try downloading the newest, latest version of IE. Maybe the update will correct whatever is causing your issues.

Sounds like a virus to me. What OS are you on? If you can, install and run this:

http://microsoft.com/security_essentials

My brother is great at this stuff...myself, I can post on forums and play Solitaire. Hope you can get it fixed!

thanks for the help, i ended up restoring my computer to a spot two days ago. runs normal now.

chris, what are you using as a browser?

Chrome. I have FF and IE for sites that don't play well with Chrome, but I use chrome about 99% of the time.

Definitely sounded like a virus.... For the record.... I used to get them from time to time....
